simply lowering the ammo clip should be enough, though how much is an issue

You know , want nerf them - give them full frontal AC . No jokes. Mini-AC is much more effective in whole 0 - 1k range . But full AC is weak @#(! at distances more than 500 or so, due to bullets dispersion.

Rix are similar to TF, in that they have no missiles, so other perks are needed for their hvy scouts. So why don't rix hvy scouts follow their TF compatriots - the gunner remains, but the pilot gets 3 gat guns?

Too much rip-off there, Gandalf. The whole point of DN is to be unique, according to Noir's profile.
And Vandal, I can use Full-AC (on a bomma) and pod people reasonably well at 1500 - 1000m so I don't see where you're coming from on this.

I don't think this is much of an argument. All of the other factions have hvy scouts with similar properties (except for faction features). Giving the hvy scout multiple gunmounts may be a good idea. What may also work is giving the rix hvy scout a full ac turret (like giga lux), but standard gunmounts.
It is clear that they need nerfed. Yeah, people have lost games with Rix hvy scouts, mainly because they were dumb and rushed them without any expansion.

If anything, it was TF that ripped off Rix. Ever notice that Rix Standard Figs have 3 gats? They get the extra gat because they have no missiles.
Hmmm.. "An Extra Gat due to lack of missiles"
Gee, what other Rix ship could we apply that to? Perhaps the RIX HEAVY SCOUT?!?!?

i think the BASIC rix scout should have 2 forward guns, like the TF scout... /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
except the SR version, which should have 1 forward gun.

Honestly -
If Noir was so inclined as to change the hvy scout (which I don't believe that he is) there are really only two ways to do it that fit within "theme": Twin gats for pilot, OR let it drop combat pods - one per slot.
