ok, so it works windowed in all resolutions and in 16bit color, but hitting alt+enter gets me full-screen, but it's again blank. I've launched the training mission and when I hit alt+enter screen went black, as usual, but I've heard briefing - so this is connected to my gpu/drivers I think.

Ok, Direct X version is 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904).
I'll check those new drivers.

Ok, update your video drivers. I posted a link in my last post, then check your directX.
You can get the newest directX from here. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en

nope:(
It still only runs in windowed mode. But in-game, when I turn it full-screen, it switches, but all the text disappears.

NO, HEY, HEY! IT WORKS!

It started to work when I turned off antialiasing and antisotroping on my graphic card - seems that this was the problem.
Oh-my-god, I'm so stupid:D

Thanks for your help, and sorry for taking your time!

(bangs his head against a wall)

Great diagnosis, YP. Tmth, glad you got in.

We should remember that anti-aliasing/anti-isotroping stuffs for the future in case someone else runs into this "black screen" problem.

I'll add it to the knowledgebase.
