high res rock texture question

oh btw adaven, you may want to make the bgrnd03 textures squashed horizontally because bgrnd03 is not a sphere, its a sphere scaled to 150% horizontally.

and since the texture is for a sphere it is stretched on the rock (see the above pic, look at the craters, they are ellipses not circles, you could just say that's the angle the rocks hit them at / they are in the direction that the rock was travelling in)

ok, the original rocks are scaled vertically and rotated, so the black bits on the top/bottom of the texture are on the ends of the rock

i made mine scaled horizontally so the dark bits appear on the top/bottom on one of the rock (on the non-ponity bits)

if you don't understand what i mean i could make some pictures to explain
