Allegiance Hosting Update

Hi All! Sorry I haven't been around at all, it's been one hell of a year so far. The startup I was at imploded right after I bought a house that now needs to be paid for, and after 2.5 months of intensive job searching, I finally started a new job today. Also, I have my oldest daughter's wedding this week... So I've been pretty slammed. However, I wanted to check in to give a quick status update.

Bad news first:

Microsoft is declining to extend our Azure credit grant for the subscription currently hosting the game. They have cancelled many open source grants, and ours was one of them. While it was great to have them onboard for a year, that program has come to an end. There was never any guarantee from them that they would extend, and I am very grateful to them for the hosting they provided while the program was active.

Good news next:

I had the original US-East-1 and US-East-2 VM images waiting on standby, just in case this happened and I have restarted US-East-1. For the next two weeks, please try to play a few games on the server and let me know if you have any issues. I will then restart US-East-2 and turn off MS-1 and MS-2 and shut down that account.

The lobby and AWeb both run from a friend's VS subscription credits, and will be unaffected.

My new job is at a very large Microsoft based company, and I'm hoping more options for permanent hosting will present themselves, but right now everything is status quo and we have plenty of gas in the tank!

Even though I don't play: Thank you very much for keeping this game alive. Many great memories were created here and I remember the time fondly!
