I love this galaxy brain of talking about IQ means across races as if somehow that's a reliable metric of intelligence. TBH it reminds me of a fun story:
So my friends and I are playing League of Legends. This was waaaaay back in like Season 2 or whatever... they still used the elo system rather than the current leagues/divisions/etc. We're playing some random normal game, and my friends aren't very good. I was never great, mind, but as a solid mid-high plat level player I could usually carry my friends through normals. I generally picked some jungler or midlaner and did work over and over and over again. This time one of my friends was playing ADC for some rando support because we had 4 people, and this rando support would not stop trashing my friends. He kept trying to tell everyone what to do over and over and over again and kept going "I'm a high-elo player you should pay attention to me."
Of course, being at the point like 1730 or whatever (I think you started at like 1200), I was genuinely curious. I'd watched this guy play and he seemed pretty $#@!in' mediocre to me. So I look it up on whatever service there was and his elo was like 1430 or something. At one point I was like, "dude, you're not high elo, you're 1430." He's like "that IS high elo, and besides, what's yours?" I said "1730." That was basically the end of that discussion and he spent the rest of the game in awe of me.
It's funny because I would have never bragged about being 1730. The good players were all in the 2200s. It's like a Chess player bragging about an 1900/2000 rating when there are thousands of people above 2400 and the best players in the world are 2800. I'm 500 rating points below the best players, I'm not "good," I'm merely "not terrible."
Anyways it reminds me of this story because I have a feeling Elzam's about to brag about his 118 IQ and how he's more than a standard deviation smarter than the average person guys. I find people only trumpet things like IQ, ELO, rank... when they're ever so barely above average, and the further up the ladder you get the less interested people are in those metrics. Could you imagine AllegSkill era P32 saying something like "I'm a 25 and you're a 12 so you should listen to me"?

Don't find fault, find a remedy; anybody can complain.

I agree with everything you said. However I would to add something we can actually do- is have laws and legislation protecting minorities. And those laws may need to change over time as minorities change, but protections for targeted minorites is something any society worth continuing would have.Bunnywabbit wrote:QUOTE (Bunnywabbit @ Nov 9 2018, 07:48 AM) So here's what I think would be great if we all did.

What's deeply depressing to me is that in all the speeches and talking points surrounding the midterms, no one even bothers mentioning climate change. I mean, I understand it's a losing issue. I'm just deeply saddened that it is.
