i am American same as anyone in the US, you are ill-inform again, i never or ever told you is okay to reduce the number of kids

Let me tell you how "guns" policy is in MyLittleCountry™.

As you might know, guns are strictly regulated here. Also you might know a few times a year some thug empties a magazine in a mostly drug related incident. As long as no babies or innocent by standers are hit it stirrs up some news articles. Some times the thugs are chased by the police, if they are caught they are put in jail. Otherwise they call the German or Belgian police to catch them over the border.

Do I feel safe? Yes. Would I like to carry a gun for the tiny chance I might possible get involved in a shooting incident maybe once in my life? No. Guns are heavy useless metal objects. Even if I were holstering a side arm, would I go against someone with a full auto machine gun? Nope. I just run away as fast as I can run. So, for me a gun is useless to defend myself.

If I want to run around in a wargame in a forest, airsoft or paintball is legal here. Not that I run around in a forest. But I could.

About the USA? There must be a reason why guns are still there. I see little logical reasons for a full auto weapon. Maybe in rural areas in Alaska I might run into a bear. I buy meat in the supermarket, but I can understand some people like to shoot fresh meat. A single shot rifle is enough to hunt. I don't want to eat lead poisoned meat, right? Also I think airsoft is legal in the USA, so you can go full Rambo style wargames. Apart from accidental shooting out an eye or teeth it should be fairly safe. If you like bruises.

Why I think there are still guns in the USA? I don't know. I suspect too much people make too much money in guns or guns related incidents. Also I think it's a trench warfare dialogue. No one wants to give in. I can understand in 1776 it could be a law allowing people carry a musket. Guns were primitive then. A single shot gun to scare bears and shoot buffaloes. Or scare away a lunatic. But nowadays? Full auto machine guns? Really? Rifles accurate over dozens of yards?

Spend the gun money on better roads I would say.

Anyway, my 2 cents. From a Non American.

Peet's figured it out. Imagine the public health benefits of carrying all these heavy metal objects everywhere?

I thank you peet,

In the USA, we are much bigger than your little country with a lot of problem
what you just told us is very understandable and i do appreciate your though
our problem with gun go beyond of what you saying and it goes much deeper
if you are asking us to surrender our gun, there will be blood bath in our hand
it's all boil down to trust.....

Also opiod abuse is off the chart. @#(!'s addictive as hell and really $#@!s with your mind.

Not trying to push the blame elsewhere, but I've dealt with some mentally ills who have full access to semi-if not full- automatic rifles.

Acid attacks are on the rise and there's legislation proposed to control access to the most concentrated acids. It's still at a rate of 1.06/100,000 in a year, a third of the USA gun death rate (and something like a tenth of the more comparable injury and death total).

Whataboutism isn't a great argument either way.
