Seriously- who is in charge of Allegiance updating??!!
Because you seem to pick the very worst times to update it.
Schedule the updates Monday-Thursday, when there aren't very many people on.
Not at prime time on the weekend during a 20 person game.
While I thank you for your work, your execution of it needs a little more common sense.
Server/Client Updates
I made the call to update the client. BT updated the servers when bringing them back online a little bit before that. There is never a perfect time to update. It doesn't really matter if it happens during a game, updates are compatible with each other. Updating during the week is a little bit better, but it really shouldn't matter as the client updates are tested reasonably well.
The server update unfortunately has a bug with crazy point generation (even causing it to overflow). I find it hilarious and not that much of a problem. It is fixed in code but we need BT to deploy another server update. BT is unfortunately extremely busy, so no ETA on that.
We don't know what caused the server crash, though we may be able to find out if we can get the dumps/logs from the server admin, which is BT again.

You can't hide behind the "Oh we're deving this game for free on our own free time" so we're immune to criticism, this game ultimately belongs to the community and you've been making changes whether its to the UI or to the points system to begin with without asking anyone and f*cked it all up, so yeah, I wont quit "my" whining when the community is displeased as a whole

You are indeed whining of a bug that is MINOR and DOES NOT prevent you from playing. This incessant nitpicking is uncalled for.Saudade wrote:QUOTE ( Saudade @ Jan 28 2018, 07:09 PM) Don't you ever talk to me like this again by the way

either way, do what you want this game has become a lot less stable than 4 years ago
