TomBrady@XT (Draconium Adv Exp/Tac/Shipyard) vs *Phoenix1@SysX (Rixian Sup/Shipyard)
Map: Star
Settings: 1/1.15
I start the game by forgetting that it's a squadgame so forget to call for scouts. This is shortly rectified; however, and I tell my guys to go scout and find the enemy, that I want to send my cons to the opposite direction. Despite this, Terran demands to know where the cons are going sufficiently so I send them low. Unfortunately, Dome sent *his* team low, so I quickly redirect the op and the TP. Thanks to enhanced cons, our TPs build at about the same time (mine high, his low) while he pushes his op. The draconium light ints chew through my rix figs like a hot knife through butter. I looked around for a U rock, but the only two I saw were rather controlled by XenoTech, so I quickly prayed to Lord Broodwich that he might forgive me of my sins and bought a rix sup. With gat2 enh figs we chewed through XT's miner offense and even got a couple of miners kills of our own, losing a miner here or there as I brilliantly mismanaged them a couple of times. Look, it's the first time I've been on the big stage in years!
Suddenly I'm sitting on about 20k and XT is out of miners, or down to one miner, or something, and I'm trying to figure out what I want to do. XT's map presence is poor and the only base they have that I want to get rid of is their tac, so I consult with Terran and Vogue who greenlight the decision to get a shipyard. Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you something about shipyard: Good GOD is it bad in PCore12. A couple of Skycap 2 corvettes died to some hvy int rushes causing us to lose our miners, but not before we were able to roll a couple of cruisers forward which we promptly lost. After scraping money together for a miner which I tried to defend in a frigate, I forgot to send it to a ref and XT killed it, half full of helium. At that point, XT decided to HTT our home. Bravely and as the last line of defense, I rammed TomBrady's HTT in my corvette, continuing to ram it as I pushed it under the garrison until my gunners finally killed him.
Unfortunately, this was followed up by a brilliant set of maneuvers that almost saw SysX lose the game. After capping our op and moving to our sup high, they had us on the ropes. The only redeeming factor was that both the sup and the garrison were destroyed by Rixian Cruisers immediately after they fell into enemy hands. There were many attempts at maneuvering around mini3 hvy int camps that ultimately failed as XT fields a wiley bunch of old-time vets who are too smart to fall for any kind of shennanigans. One HTT run in fact ALMOST made it into the SY, ALMOST ending the game, but someone's guns just barely podded him before he made it in. That was the wakeup call SysX needed.
After a rash of miner defense that would make any commander smile and a pile of money, we sent four cruisers to XT's remaing expansion (the first having been destroyed by Terran). I entered the sector and immediately started trying to destroy Metz' frigate, not noticing until I was dead that I had passed within 1500m of the expansion and could have killed it if I weren't an idiot. For a second I panicked as I couldn't recall which Rix ship carried skyrip (or if one even did), but then someone mentioned destroyers did! All was not lost! I redeemed myself by stripping Metz's frigate right from underneath him while Vogue gave Terran a SysX Honor Guard. Finally, out of station drones, Terran gave way to Vogue's skyripper destroyer which finished off XenoTech's garrison, ending the game!
GG XT, sorry that took so long XD Rix SY is ANNOYING, those drones are so easy to shoot down...
System X vs XenoTech

Don't find fault, find a remedy; anybody can complain.

Terran remains the only winless SysX SG commander!

I think we had 3 different HTTs make it within 1k of the shipyard. Mine died because I decided to try it with only 2(?) nans while y'all were distracted doing something else. Pretty good game, but dear lord y'all had way too much money. We killed 2 or 3 cruisers and a devastator in our home and by the time we had rolled our fat ass dreadnaught to your shipyard you already had 4 new caps out. That was an unpleasant surprise.

There are few pleasures, that this game offers, better than skyripper’ing XT scouts as they desperately try to stop Terran from violating their bases
But watching p1’s corv cock block dome’s HTT at our garrison’s green door, for what felt like an eternity, is definitely one of them

Your eyes deceive you because I piloted no htts. It was a great game though.vogue wrote:QUOTE (vogue @ Nov 13 2017, 05:09 AM) There are few pleasures, that this game offers, better than skyripper’ing XT scouts as they desperately try to stop Terran from violating their bases

A motivational speech to convince you to show up and command more squadgames so you don't have to deal with my recaps!Drizzo wrote:QUOTE (Drizzo @ Nov 13 2017, 02:34 AM) What the $#@! did I even read

I would deal with the motivational recaps, as long as you dont forget to target the goddamn bases for the dronesphoenix1 wrote:QUOTE (phoenix1 @ Nov 13 2017, 02:26 PM) A motivational speech to convince you to show up and command more squadgames so you don't have to deal with my recaps!
