Shipyards

FIRST Thank you all for the response to my last query.
Next one: What has to be in place to high lite the "Shipyard" icon?
Opened everything else, but still won't let me open. Its' checked in game settings.
Also, last time I set up a [private,solo] game, I had no option to build a refinery! WTF?

Some factions are funky like that. For example, Iron Coalition does not have refineries, so that option won't be available.

Most factions require you to first build a tech base (exp, sup, tac) before you can build a shipyard. There are exceptions like IC and OH.

Check the "SHOW ALL" button on the investment pane (right below the invest button).

Yep, Good times, Good times.
I'm back but can't get my brand new joystick configured. In the olden days Logitech gave you software and you could pre-program your stick even before you opened a game, sigh
