anti virus alert

I downloaded the game through steam but before it launched my Kaspersky anti virus and antimalware destroyed the files and did a roll back as it said the program files contained dangerous content , why did this happen.

It's a false positive :) there is nothing to worry about.

Most AV software uses a reputation database for executables, since Allegiance Steam release was only a few hours ago and not seen an many computers before (which run Kaspersky), the AV software gives it a bad reputation.

It's an valid attempt to detect malware, but in this case it's a false positive.
