and you will need a HOD to kill a bomber with two of these
QUOTE "The guardian angel " thing how about u give him 2 front nans and 2 heavy nan turrets and a little energy& speed perk perk, 2 of those will solve the naning problem since u have like 2 ships carrying 6 people's and 8 nan guns.[/quote]
ok, actually just enough hvys to over power them, or a good mp 2 drop with lots of DF 3

i think sticking to the original plan is better

I read through but I dunno if I missed something about the burst arrays: how long do they last? You need something to spot incoming enemy bbrs and TT's in neutral/hostile sectors, no? So after you research the scout in Sup, they can get EWS-esque probes? This makes Sup a must eh? And if burst arrays last too long they >> EWS eh? True they cost money, but they're necessary to spot alephs to begin with so you have no choice but to buy 'em and after you buy 'em they provide very good early warning. Some kinda D they have.

Well, first off I think Barricuda was leaning towards having the pattie as the starting ship, patties have about 55% of the scan of a scout as well as the ability to carry probes.

Now the Burst Arrays where to be somewhat like a pp, I think that Barricuda wanted a low but noticeable cost, so I recommended $250, although that might be too much. The Burst Array I being primarily for scouting and detection, I suggested it have deeper scan about +25% though with half the duration. I was hoping to see them on patties alone, though Barricuda seemed interested in having them on many ships. I think it might be ok to have them on patties and ints.

I'm not sure if Barricuda was all for the idea of having the enh patties in garr with adv/hvy patties in starbase, I am, I think it's a though multipurpose ship that fits the theme well. It won't ever be as good as a scout though it certainly will be useful. The faction probably wouldn't need scouts at all, with the Guardian Angel dual nans for bases only, that covers the immediate need.

Overall the ships look like they have many nice places for scanners, so a scan GA of 1.1 seemed good, heck, even higher wouldn't be a horrible idea. It would also make sense that the higher the scan bonus the worse the sig of the ships are, not as bad as IC by any means, just maybe a .05 difference.

I really like this faction idea and the ships look like they'll be sexy. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

with no permanent probes it will not be playable (imho).
just look what happens to other fractions when they have no probes. will this one be so drastically different?

i forgot: i like the general idea, and the ships look really good, only i'm afraid the int mk2 will have too large hit-box with the wings of that size.

nooo, leave giga with patties, i like the original idea of starting with figs, ints and no scouts, it was the reason they got burst arrays.

just because they have burst arrays doesn't mean they cant have ews probes. ... though wtf deploys them?

perhaps they could be f5 buildable like towers, but very cheap $100 each, and have lt base hull, maybe even minor base hull (hey, its a tough faction, and its got tough probes /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> )

AHHHHHHH!

ok, make their figs, perhaps ints deploy probes.

i just don't think giving them "patties" fits with their theme of big and tough, where patties are giga's lt fighters and giga isn't particularly well known for being big and strong with tough ships and bases
