RECAP BY WEED LATER
QUOTE ^cashto@Elem (all): yeah, i imagine if you're rusty, you could build op short for no reason, build a naked ref, then go two techpaths even though your mining is by all objective standards $#@!ed[/quote]

They seemed determined to go same faction--probably a good thing. Bios vs Bios worked okay for us--had they stuck with Belters, we'd probably been bomb rushed off the map.

it was going to be belt vs belt

which is a snore

so we played bios bios

fufi attempted the bastard maneuver as bios, which is in my book extremely aggressive.

thankfully we had a bucket fighter and some more bad asses waiting for it. Another forward op con push of theirs died low I believe. This gave us most of the map.

We were mining like legends, until their tac built, followed 10 minutes later with sfs. 2 of our miners dead. Miners are cheap and we had them back. They had some great saves on base attacks. We were not able to kill their tac or exp immediately. Our good HTT run was stopped. That was nasty.

Enter rage-bucket HTT. capped an op and then as we were engaging their team in the tac sector, he solo bombed with maybe a nan on the exp and got it done before being podded. I observed later he was doing his best impression of one of those scavenger fish that eats the garbage off shark's teeth. Basically bucket was riding the expansion.

was a fun game!
