Something that may be getting lost with the eye test or even just looking at the score and saying "wow SF got smoked!": just how big an impact a short week and travelling cross-country has on a team. SF won't publically mention it, no team would, but they played the later MNF game last week, then essentially had a 10am Pacific time game on Sunday over in Pittsburgh.
The Steelers, on the other hand, played the Thursday game in week 1, giving them 10 days to rest/prep. A lot can be said for that.
The final tally is 8/16 for P1 and 6/16 for Paps. So P1 wins despite both lists not being very good statistically. Did anyone do very good in your pool Paps? There were lot of unexpected results.
I like this little game. I'll submit a pick list tommorrow and see how I do. I'll be shocked if I'm better than a coin though.
I made a few changes in my football pool after I made my original picks that were posted earlier in this thread.
In our pool we have to cover the spreads so I actually got 9 correct.
2 players in the pool both got 12 correct.
My results are posted below.
Giants over Redskins
Falcons over Cowgirls
Colts over Titans
Brown over Raiders
Ravens over Bengals
Pats over Jags
Saints over Panthers
Eagles over Jets
Texans over Buccaneers
Vikings over Chargers
Rams over Steelers
Cardinals over the Niners
Bills over Dolphins
Seahawks over Bears
Broncos over Lions
Packers over Chiefs

Oh, Hockey, don't bitch out next sunday so I can get my whore on at your expense.
Hate to burst your bubble, but I'll be drunk at Raymond James watching the Bucs/Panthers with friends. Well deserved alcohol after my month straight away at work, if I say so myself.
