Nobody (no faction, no tech) vs. Nobody (no faction, no tech)
No map, no settings.
- Neither team wins due to 7v7 turnout or something.
Followed by non-league game that lasted for two hours. Endgame's Rix sup has its way with IC exp.

QUOTE ^cashto@Elem (all): yeah, i imagine if you're rusty, you could build op short for no reason, build a naked ref, then go two techpaths even though your mining is by all objective standards $#@!ed[/quote]

Well, after watching it from your perspective I can only say that PW range (also known as hit GA, since shots go faster) and Accel (also known as dodge GA, since sidethrusters also accel faster) are huge for ints in combat against figs. Afterburner 3 can also help keep up with figs, though accel GAs are more effective cost wise. Evading white staying in range and hitting is the key. The amount of damage your weapons can deal is secondary if you don't get hit and completely unimportant if you can't hit.
And always remember - against rix, dismount counters - its another bit of acceleration on any ship that you waste otherwise, and on ints, which have low mass, its a noticeable percentage. You can usually also dismount counters if the enemy is exp, but then you risk being shot by random seekerscouts or hunterbombers
Imo we did have the better (if smaller) team, so I'm not sure it would've been enough, but the lategame fights would have definitely been less one sided if you actually had some of the stuff that makes ints good.

Still ready to teach anyone who asks nicely whatever they want to know about playing alleg. Contrary to popular opinion I do not eat newbies. Voobs taste much better.
