Grossly mismatched teams. My greatest respect goes to yellow and P1 for commanding. Shout out to Vogue as well.

I slept in while hoping that the teams would abide by the additions-by-rank rule but that clearly didn't happen.

Vets using false hiders in order to stack teams should be ashamed of themselves.

We did a secondary draft that day. Nobody joined of their own will, everyone on my team was picked fairly. There was no last minute joining, everyone was on purple well before the drafts started.

You are misinformed, sir.

I wish I'd taken Frag over Vanca but again, Thall was having an aneurysm.

I will say though that when you're starting from a position of Drizzo + Shiz + Brood and my top 3 are Frobo, Thallium, and myself (no Trasher or Dome today) even if today's picks are done fairly we're going to end up behind.

Also shame on Dutchie for joining the pool late ;)

Either way it was a good experience for me and I actually enjoyed most of it despite really not wanting to command that game.

I can assure you, if you did, it wouldn't change a thing... your picks were overall bad.

I feel like I picked the best pilots available.

1) Vogue over Sheff.

In terms of piloting skill, Vogue and Sheff are comparable though Sheff might be better. But I needed a capable lieutenant who could add some volume to my yelling. Sheff tends to be quiet when he plays and a bit of a lone-wolf. I also wanted someone who would be a bit of a tactical sounding board. Anyone who thinks that Sheff over Vogue is always the consensus 100% clear pick is fooling themselves.

2) Seymor over Terran.

I enjoy playing with Terran, I really do. Seymor is one of the few pilots I absolutely adore having on my team and hate playing against. Seymor knows how to make miners dead.

3) Jules over Hemorrhoids.

I have no idea what hider that is but I'd assume Psychosis. Jules is great. Psych is pretty good.

4) Kramcakes over Hockey.

I honestly feel like Kramari is a better pilot.

5) TheMHael over Blackdutchie.

Dutchie wasn't on the pink team yet and while MHael is a (1) he's clearly a returning vet of some kind.

6) Never over Kompis.

Truth be told this is the second time I bowed to Thallium. I'm not a huge fan of Never as a pilot, but Thallium is high on Never so I figured wtf not.

7) Toad over Dibbley.

I don't know who Toad is but I'm not a big fan of Dibbley either. Decent pilot but can sometimes be a bit close-eared (much like you). I'd rather take the unknown over someone who doesn't listen.

8) Tuckins over 104.

If you think this was a bad pick then wow.

We ended up with Dibbley after in order to "preserve" the pick pool since Toad decided to AFK. It probably would have been better considering the relative balance of the yellow vs blue team if P32 had just joined yellow instead but I didn't want to make that kind of demand. The only picks I made that were bad, imo, were when I picked you over Frag and I picked Never over Kompis. My questionable picks were Vogue over Sheff (but I stated my reasons for that, plus I like flying with Vogue) and Kramari over Hockey. In both instances I still think afterwords that the picks were pretty much a wash.

Now to be fair, I'm sure you have no idea who Seymor is (he's a (0) after all) which probably makes that pick very strange to you. That's ok.

Vogue, that was awesome words of wisdom. In particular the reference to tenfowards.

Also, picking players A B A B A B A ... etc. has a built-in advantage for the person to go first. If A and B always pick the best player available to them, A's top player will be better than B's top player, A's second best player will be better than B's second best player, and so on all the way down the line. A essentially gets a free vet this way. It's much more fair to pick A B B A A B B A etc.

Either way for me Yellow got outplayed and Blue deserved the win. Crying about stack is... silly.

If I could make a suggestion to Dome, in the future pick a less polarizing figure for the leadership of either yellow or blue. As competent as Fedman is, both Shiz and Broodwich skipping the draft to jump on Drizzo's team is a direct result of picking Fedman as the leader of Yellow. Note that I'm not saying that *I* should have been picked, but more that there were probably better choices for Yellow from the onset. If it had been, for example, Shiz v Drizzo, I think a lot more people would've turned up at the start rather than trying to game the system to avoid flying on Yellow, which leads to a stacked blue, which leads to people joining up in unrecognized hiders to jump on blue, which leads to more stacked blue, which leads to people not play yellow.

I for one am pretty happy that there's probably only going to be one more YvB game and that I will probably miss it because I'm going to be out of town.
