I've been plagued by this problem for weeks now.
Yes i have a weak bandwidth but, Allegiance was built on dial up so i should not have this high ping.
This has been happening on both test us 3 and mach.
Constant 999 ms ping.
I'm running wireless with a sitecom router.

I just dont know what to do anymore.
Help!!!

Try plugging in directly?
Was it working before, what did you change?

Ping is the ping, doesn't matter if Alleg is supposed to run on dial-up or not.

This is an issue between you and the servers which can probably only be resolved by your ISP.

Connecting wired instead of wireless should help but doubtful it will make it playable if you are getting 999ms ping anyway.

Could try running a tracert on the servers, I dunno what the IP addresses are of them currently though

Have you changed any hardware or service at your place which might have precipitated these troubles? I think I asked you this previously and you said no. The other thing you can do to try to find the cause is to use tracert at a command prompt and target the allegiance server thus: "tracert allegiance.org" (if that's what it is) and see where any unusual delays might be.

Are you experiencing any slowness with other websites?

Little update.
Before the Sg i flushed my dns cache, and it seemed to fix the ping.
weird.
