I just recently tried to download a trial of EVE. It was almost 6 GB large and no resume.

Not true. PKK did.

And I think you were doing something wrong with EVE... if you download it from their website you get a 4.4mb installer.

Almost every game in the world is available through Steam which will function as a download manager for the games (pause/resume downloads).
Every Blizzard product does on-demand downloads with pause/resume through the Blizzard game launcher thing.
Pretty sure anything available through EA's Origin failplatform thing has the same functionality...
Pretty much any digital content distribution software function as a download manager.
What else do I play... Warthunder, Wild Star, they have their own dedicated pause/resume-able download managers.

Eve is on Steam... pause/resume.

and Eve is not a modern game. Eve is old as $#@!.

Sorry for that, but just two weeks ago someone on facebook also claimed that the installer is broken... ;)

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.

Pretty good. I still don't have much free time these days. :/ Do you still get on any of the IM clients?
