Not to discourage the effort, but I do want to pitch in that another option we have is to spend the money on sponsoring development of an "upgrade" that will, in it self, be significantly more marketable than current allegiance. As with advertising, it has its risks and problems, but that is a topic for another thread.

No one will stop you if you make a thread asking for donations for such an endeavor. In fact, I strongly encourage it.

Agreed,

I would be much more inclined to support any re-development efforts with financial backing because it eliminates so many obstacles such as: Removes any copyright violation liability which opens the door to Steam...and...Is in new code which broadens the potential of having more and faster development.

Don't get me wrong, I commend your effort to get new players, I just feel that it's wasted money because of the limited impact it has.

[15:25] <+fuh-zz> No, he simply put effort into it.
[15:25] <BBT_> are you really that retarded?

New resized/redone banners we are using:

I give so much respect and gratitude to Ashortdude. He's really done a great job making and remaking these banners. Not to mention the banners and posters he's made for Allegiance for many months.

I've only used the blue banner so far, but will focus on using the yellow one in Facebook ads this weekend.

Please don't hesitate to use these banners on your own personal sites!

Indeed I don't. I had a job recently the involved reviewing ads and their interaction with our network. It was interesting stuff. So it's habitual now.

Also I ignore them :)

I hope this works out.
Personally I've just mentioned this game to anyone I think would be interested.

The issue is kind of that the people who want this kind of game seek it out and find it, and everyone else doesn't give much of a @#(!.
It's a niche game, everyone who left did so for a reason, so we're probably better off trying to contact the old players, or more importantly find out why they quit and what can be done to bring them back.

Some just got bored of the game, lost interest, learned what there was to be learned and moved on.
Others probably got driven away by the hostile environment and massive skill gap.

The success of this campaign is subjective as there are multiple ways to interpret this data. I am both pleased and concerned. I'm always open to new ideas for ways to use remaining and future funds in a more cost effective way. In the meantime I will continue to focus on using paid ads on Facebook on select Fridays-Sundays.
