I'm very glad I got to fly with you Vly. It was great.Vlymoxyd wrote:QUOTE (Vlymoxyd @ Apr 19 2013, 09:17 PM) I'm sad to hear this. Allegiance and SF have been very important for me for several years.

<bp|> Maybe when I grow up I can be a troll like PsycH
<bp|> or an obsessive compulsive paladin of law like Adept
Sad to hear, but 14 years isn't a bad run as things go in the digital age.

Bones heal. Chicks dig scars. Pain is Temporary. Allegiance is forever.
There's always the future Steel Fury 3.0. =)
I wish I could have been there the last year, but sadly due to real life I had to move on from most of my online gaming. It also doesn't help when someone physically steals your business server and backups from a data center (long story regarding why the SF site died). Who knows, perhaps if Allegiance 2.0 ever comes about we can always reform.
Getting back on topic...
It was an honor serving with everyone. I'll always remember you. Perhaps one day soon I'll have enough free time again to play Allegiance with everyone. At this time I'd like to post an excerpt from General Douglas MacArthur's farewell speech which sums up my feelings perfectly:
And like the old soldier of that ballad, I now close my military career and just fade away, an old soldier who tried to do his duty as God gave him the light to see that duty.
Good Bye.
