Yes. David Braben. WTF!

Kinda funny how we are talking about flight models here, and Braben's Frontier is the ONLY simulation to date which has pure newtonian flight dynamics. Yes, that makes combat insanely frustrating but hey.. at least you can't claim there is anything unrealistic about it.

I pledged $60. Gonna get the 300i =) So excited for this game. If you guys haven't pledged, do the future of Space Sims some good and fork over a few bucks. If this proves to be a massive success we might have a resurgence of our favorite, long-dead genre. X-wing 2, TIE Fighter 2?? Who knows. Could be amazing if Star Citizen proves that there's still a market out there for the old school space sim.

Star citizen is already funded. i'll put my money into Elite: Dangerous. I'd love to see both projects happen.

They've got some pretty cool features that unlock if Star Citizen hits 4 million pledged. Longer singleplayer, better FPS boarding mechanic, 0-G magboot hull walking, more star systems... recently they just hit 3.5 mil and unlocked Smuggler Asteroids which sound really cool.

Honestly, Elite: Dangerous sounds cool and all, but the dude hasn't made a modern space sim. He has no track record of using modern tech to create a space sim. I'm much more confident in Chris Roberts, as he has a history of nothing but fantastic space sims + he has some great tech demos for Star Citizen already showing it in action.

The $4M stretch goal results in free professional mod tools for players. I very much hope it gets hit.
