Tried playing last night a bit.. Oh the nostalgia, but that's not why i am posting this.

At first i tried using a Joystick (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro) But i was finding that this thing's sensitivity was too low, and it took forever in a day to turn a ship. This sadly does not help a pilots cause when he's being gunned down by a guy who's turning faster than he.

So i unplugged the Joystick, and tried mouse. After tweaking it's sensitivity a bit, I was able to turn faster but the ship was so unstable that it was still pretty hard to control. (Or, i just straight up suck after 13 years of not playing this.. could be the case too)

Any Suggestions?

Just to make sure you've seen it, there is a sensitivity adjustment in the game, although ~100% tends to work fine in general. Also make sure the in-game Vsync setting is off - not related to sensitivity but it will improve precision.

To improve joystick input, you can also try capping your DirectX frame rate using the method below:

This is a bug in Allegiance that was introduced in the version R5.

If you want proof, try to use that joystick in a turret and you'll see that the fine precision is completely gone. The input is delayed so much, your ship is like a drunken sailor.

Enjoy!
