TheCorsair wrote:QUOTE (TheCorsair @ Aug 8 2012, 03:38 PM) As for new cores, development etc well I think people hate this the most, too many changes too quickly and people don't recognise the game anymore. I remember how so many more people were playing DN earlier this year because it was familiar and fun, it sure reminded of the days of massive games back in the day.
Let me remember... You're wrong.

DN, at least 2-3 releases per month (week) in the beginning (2004), tons of changes you can't follow, until Noir left us alone with DN 00.04.60 alpha, which was never designed for public games...

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
Like I said to the rest of the guys, I hate the idea of merging. Say if we merged with SysX, aarm could come back one day and probably kill himself if he saw his name on the same roster as spidey. I don't get along with a handful of players throughout the squads, and it's the same for everyone. I've got too much pride to merge PK; I joined them for a reason, not RT, MEC, etc.
I agree with disbanding and letting the players fall into whichever squad they choose. @#(!, what happened to applying to a squad? It seems like the only one who gets denied these days is MW.

That has been the on-going discussions here and in the OC.
If squads can't/won't actively play squad games then either disband or merge, it is the squad's decision.
I think disbanding is the way to go so players are able to join who they want but if 2 squads can agree to merge that's cool too.
Yes there is a formal offer for SysX & PK to merge, SysX is for it but if PK is against, then disband. All you guys have been doing for about the past 2 years is run around with @PK tagged on the end of your name and it's keeping some of the more active players from moving on with the opportunity to play squad gaames. This goes for all squad that can't field 10 players on Sundays for matches.
The only other option is to actively get your old squad mates back playing and recruit new players.

Hey now, that has only been the case for the past 4 months, not 2 years.
