if you'll dull down commanding I'll probably quit playing '-'
What I do in game 70% of the time is command (no, not whoring)

Removing Commander Role is of no help. The role of the commander is - in decent game sizes matching map size - or was, a specific task to be solved.
Today, what games do we have where the commander and its team are big enough ... perhaps only events and squad games.
So herein, I tell you, the reason why YOU ALL ARE DISCUSSING the role of the commander as being obsolete is based upon the lack of players.
Instead of whislting here around you should get your printer working and loose some sheets of paper in the next train; that'll be more of help.

Removing commanders is not the final goal. We are talking about making the game more accessible to play in the low-activity hours, when no commanders are around. When commanders step-up, the game can be switched back to regular.qqqqqq wrote:QUOTE (qqqqqq @ Jun 16 2012, 07:17 AM) if you'll dull down commanding I'll probably quit playing '-'

Of course, there always is the risk that people end-up preferring the dumbed-up version, and thousands of people line up tu play dumbed-alleg only.

Remove the kill bonus damage factor. If your that good you don't need it anyway. It definitely helps the whoring factor which is part of what runs newbs off. New members will be the lifeblood of this community. Losing members due to attrition is a part of life, so if the community is to survive they have to be replaced. Must admit, thought about playing a few times but the player base has been down lately. Of course, this does seem to happen in the summer some. We just don't have the influx of high school age students that sustained us for about the first 7 years or so.
Time is a great teacher, but it kills it's students... the worm....

Maybe this is how we should promote this game on reddit:

Some nice, funny pictures with captions along with a hilarious video as the top comment and this was on front page of reddit. I wonder how many of those people who saw it started playing it.
