http://css.trac.alleg.net/ticket/57

This has been fixed, and the server has been updated.

I reloaded one of today's games a few times to be sure everything was working. Some of you gained some rank. ;)

The issue was in the Tag service on ACSS server. There was old code still in place from before the AllegSkill integration that was updating the Leaderboard base numbers. This function is performed in the AllegSkill stored proc, so this was duplicating everything.

Thanks!

Thanks for the hard work lads :D

2 comments. On a fresh new pc.

ACSS says it requires .NET 2.0. The setup.exe in the zip file tries to install .NET 3.5.

There are people living outside the English Motherlands, who have their own language packs installed.

Hi peet,

Not sure I follow, on the first issue, did the dialog say it needed .Net 2.0 and then it installed 3.5 instead? Is it just the message that needs to be updated?

On the second, do you mean that ACSS setup should give you the option of downloading an additional language pack along with the .net framework to install?

It looks like switching to the .net web installer - dotnetfx35setup.exe (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... 90%29.aspx) would do the trick.

Thanks!

In the zip file there are 2 files.

1. The ACSS Beta installer, a MSI file, which told me it needed .NET 2.0.

2. The SETUP.EXE, which tried to install .NET 3.5.

Perhaps your idea works if somehow the installer can determine the OS language and offers an alternative.

Did the setup.exe detect your language pack? Or did it just install the english version?

I think the .NET packs are not cumulative: .NET 3.5 does not include .NET 2.0. You should install both.

EDIT: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=21

Maybe I was wrong. At the bottom of the page, where it says ".NET Framework 3.5 full package" you can download the FULL 3.5, which does include 2.0. But it is a 197 MB file. You can go along with the web installer, but I hate web installers.

EDIT2: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22

Would be for 3.5 SP1 full cumulative.
231 MB file if you download ".NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (Full Package) "

Thanks guys. It might be a moot point, as this is just the beta installer. After a full scale beta Wednesday or two, I'm hoping to engage pkk to make a real installer for ACSS + Allegiance to make it official. This version of the installer will probably go away at that point, which is fine, I didn't invest a lot of time in this area. ;)

I am not a coder.

Would it be possible to compile this to one .NET version package? So we have the same version for the game and the security application?

Hi peet,

In this case, not without a ton of work. Allegiance.exe uses the Microsoft VC++ 2010 run time libraries which are different from the .Net framework that ACSS needs to run. Both packages need to be installed to make both parts of the system work.
