1. Get care-bear voob or vet.
2. Have comm buy bombers and ac3
3. Have voob/vet dedicate entire game to flying in bomber with the same two newbie turrets.
4. Profit.

Actually I think it's more of the learning resources... We do have them but new players aren't really directed to them, in a sense. There isn't any link conveniently placed in the Allegiance Client directing newbies to the resources which are more elaborate than the original training missions. Humans nowadays have become complacent with all things convenient, so...

Good point, I have brought it up in the Dev forum so pkk can take a look at it.

It should be possible to place a link in the installer to either the AFS page or the Quick Crash Course page for newbies to look at. I remember there used to be a very handy link back to the Alleg Academy when that site still used to be maintained by BV so it should be possible to implement this.

Because the best way to get newbs to stay is to give them unrealistic expectations of how the game is played.

The training materials are good, but very long. They have to be redone in bite-size, easier to consume chunks.

I've taken on some of the task, and already shortened & cleaned up a few articles. But it needs more and I'm not finding the time these days...it'll take a while if I'm the only one working on it.

Want bigger games? Log on to play at the official game time: 9pmET/8pmCT/7pmMT/6pmPT every day of the week. Also Saturdays 8pm UTC.
