Have you guys been following this? The military is trying to keep going as before, with just a different guy at the helm. I hope they cave in quickly, as the Egyptian people have suffered more than enough already. I also hope that the USA and EU spare some thought to the middle east despite our own political and economic troubles. Enough political pressure on the generals should do the trick, I think. This kind of @#(! just isn't acceptable any more.

It's tragic stuff that people have died...

But it's not our business. America hasn't had the money since 2008-2009 to intervene in this type of @#(!, yet we spend BILLIONS on it anyway.

SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND

We were broke 3 years ago. WHY ARE WE STILL SPENDING!!

While I don't support Ron Paul's overall views, we have to act like it until the country is out of the red and back in the black...

@#(!... look at what happened in Somalia. United States did a GREAT $#@!ing job over there in that civil war, didn't they?

The best part about money is it's all in our heads. The concept of "value" is as made-up as God. We could grow past many limitations if we realized this ;) . Screw the 'debt,' just do what needs doing.

It is time America stepped out of the limelight of World Police and let the respective regional powers take care of their own backyards.

We are broke and are better served spending our money at home rather than overseas.

*cough* Ron Paul 2012 *cough*

He is doing well in Iowa where he has been actively campaigning for almost half of the year. If he can win Iowa or New Hampshire that will tell people that he is indeed electable and not some fringe candidate and I think a lot of people will flock to him.

If he doesn't get the parties nomination, I do believe Obama will be reelected as the Republican vote will be fractured (too many Paulites will say "to hell with voting for the lesser of two evils.") What difference is there between big government, warmongering Republicans with backwards freedom denying social obsessions and crony capitalism vs big government warmongering Democrats with their own backwards freedom denying social obsessions and crony capitalism?

The Republicans cannot win without their Libertarian faction.

But back on topic, is anyone really surprised? I mean REALLY? Revolutions are nothing but regime change. It is NOT our moral obligation to do what we believe is best for another people, that is THEIR duty as citizens of THEIR country.

However, if the mighty Finnish army wishes to crush the pitiful Egyptian armies and bring peace to the nation, I say go for it!
