I can see a two options
1) Lawyer which can lead to expensive civil suit.
2) Communication with the host, they might be able to return you to power and/or give advice on what can be done, might be better to do this first before hiring a lawyer as they are more likely to have experience in the situation.
An issue you need to look the payments, do you still share the payments or when/if you stopped paying.
The fact you gave the account details openly and willingly to these people will completely screw you legally unfortunately.
Also as HSharp mentioned, if they are making the payments and you are not, they also own the login details(the new ones) they are in the possession category.
Your only real chance is to speak to the domain controller and see if they can revert the login, giving you access and the ability to change it yourself.
