I've watched Thor, X-Men First Class, and now Capt. America. All of them have been good and entertaining. Hell, Thor practically blew my socks off, being miles above what I expected, and a genuinely good movie. X-Men focused on the relationship between Magnus and Charles in their prime, and Capt America had just the right pulp feel, and built on the Asgardian technomagic of Thor.

Astonishing! I hope there will be more positive surprises to come

PS. I haven't dared go see Green Lantern. I'm not a fan of DC anyway, and the reviews are scaring me a bit.

Thanks for confirming that. You just helped make my mind up on that one.

I think karma had to make all those other films good/great just to balance out the horrendous turd-to-end-all-turds piece of trash that was the Green Lantern.

I haven't been so insulted after coming out of a movie in my life, and I've seen Thunderpants.

Don't worry, I'm sure Marvel will come up with a dud pretty soon once the new Spiderman reboot is out.
You know, the one where Peter Parker is an emo 16 year old because studios wanted to "relate" to kids.

X1 and 2 were truly awesome... X3 was just sad. Was First Class on par with 1 and 2?

For my money it was better than either.

At least as good as 1 & 2, probably better. Substantially better than 3 and Origins: Wolverine IMO.
