Least you have me!
Best part of Dark Knight was the prisoner throwing the detonation remote.
I don't mind remakes much, I guess I consider a remake justified if what was made before just plain sucked. Or can actually be improved by better special effects. Like they recently made a remake of 'True Grit', an awesome John Wayne movie. BUT WHY? There was nothing wrong with that movie, and the main reason why people liked it was because of John Wayne. A remake such as that is stupid.
Also I didn't really like Bladerunner. Was unique, as for Harrison Ford's character role goes, but nothing special. A remake of Bladerunner could be good I think.

You are out of your $#@!ing mind. Blade Runner is a masterpiece, as good as any other science fiction classic. A remake would suck horribly.Alien51 wrote:QUOTE (Alien51 @ Aug 19 2011, 05:29 PM) Also I didn't really like Bladerunner. Was unique, as for Harrison Ford's character role goes, but nothing special. Not to mention has the best ad-libbed monologue ever, in any movie:

Only because of Olivia WildeDuckwarrior wrote:QUOTE (Duckwarrior @ Aug 20 2011, 01:14 PM) Sequels are invariably better.
Tron Legacy.
Point proven.

Anyway, I'm taking a wait and see attitude, for me Blade Runner was pretty much all about atmosphere - the plot was a mess if I remember correctly, but the atmosphere was astounding, and of course that legendary monologue.
As for Ender's Game, well I doubt it will see light of day or anything. Orson Scott Card, while a talented writer to be sure, is a fairly controversial figure due to his outspoken stance on Gay marriage which is something Hollywood might try and shy away from, and if it DOES get the greenlight, expect protests and petitions to get it shut down. Those gay guys are vindictive

Only YOU can prevent forum trollings!
oh yeah THE monologue:
QUOTE I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die.[/quote]
and then he dies.
Need more scenes like that.

Apparently it's out for casting atm.
