Strategy game recommendation:
Found it in the bargain bin on Steam and while it shows it's age at times, not the best economy engine, and the AI needs alot of care and feeding to work well when needed but it had me thinking of a twists on strategy during the long boring ride home from work. The quirky game AI is brilliantly incorporated into the overall game play and tone. If your looking for reply value it has it, and really can't be finished properly in a single sitting. It's is goal driven with a definite end but how you connect the dots has enough variation to rinse and repeat.
The game is called Evil Genius.
Looking for new game.

Meh it was interesting but I would try and get Dungeon Keeper 2 instead which will provide hours more of fun, not saying that Evil Genius is a bad game but after playing DG 2 it becomes disappointing.MrChaos wrote:QUOTE (MrChaos @ Aug 9 2011, 06:15 AM) Strategy game recommendation:

meh I dont own Dungeon Keeper 2 and don't plan to buy it based on k10 Elzam's recommendation to never pay for a game again. Not to say it isn't more fun just after not playing DG2 I can't recommend it.HSharp wrote:QUOTE (HSharp @ Aug 9 2011, 05:28 AM) Meh it was interesting but I would try and get Dungeon Keeper 2 instead which will provide hours more of fun, not saying that Evil Genius is a bad game but after playing DG 2 it becomes disappointing.

The posts where one says someone else's recommendation is ok/bad but THEIR recommendation is better is... not useful. Hell these threads aren't well suited to any concensus unless you go in with a clear set of objects and are willing to be disappointed in what you are told.
I'm personally just sick of the same @#(! with different skins and Evil Genius (as I already said) has it problems but uses the theme of the game to tie how $#@!ing dumb the AI can be at times together quite cleverly.
So in hindsight this was probably not the recommendation he was looking for anyway but then again who listens to me.
