try not to spoil it for the people who haven't read it ^,~NightRychune wrote:QUOTE (NightRychune @ Jun 18 2011, 06:10 AM) jaime is going to be around for a very long time
I've read it so I know
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

Remember, what I say is IMO always. If I say that something sucks, it actually means "I think it sucks" OK?

Except the big about dorjan being jelly, that's just spidey's ego.

I heard sean bean got stabbed at the pub and just put a bandaid on it and kept drinking
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

To me it read like he wanted to speculate, rather than wanting spoilers.NightRychune wrote:QUOTE (NightRychune @ Jun 18 2011, 08:35 PM) people shouldn't ask questions they don't want the answers to

<bp|> Maybe when I grow up I can be a troll like PsycH
<bp|> or an obsessive compulsive paladin of law like Adept

If you look at Cersei's reaction, you will notice that she wasn't quite happy with the rash decision either. When I first read the book, I re-read the passage to find out if I misunderstood something (the last hope of a non-native speaker...).ryjamsan wrote:QUOTE (ryjamsan @ Jun 18 2011, 02:59 AM) Dammit your missing the point...... THEY CUT NED's HEAD OFF FFS
IMHO thats just RUDE!!!

One could have said a similar thing about Ned Stark...NightRychune wrote:QUOTE (NightRychune @ Jun 20 2011, 12:40 AM) even given the fact that i've read the books and know what's up, saying "jaime's going to be around for awhile" isn't really a spoiler! it's logical to figure that holding him as a prisoner and keeping him alive is quite beneficial when he is the eldest son of the house you're at war with!

joffrey proved himself to be a moron way before that, though
robb and catelyn have not, though (although this is debatable in cat's case considering the debacle with tyrion)
there's also the fact that it was established very early on that ned was a guy that was very much out of his element. From the very beginning he was painted as this stand-up, honorable guy that was a great soldier, brought in to support Robert in a very political element, which is something Ned showed that he was not very good at. The writing for Ned's downfall was on the wall for quite some time, I'm afraid!
