General thought on massive changes
Can I suggest that in future polls people rank the available options in order of preference, with the winning option decided by a process of elimination of the option with the least votes, so we get what makes the majority happy not the largest minority...
"LoL I 'troll' you"
My thoughts on massive changes are that they should be tried in a 'disposable' test core and if they work then brought into the main core - preferably with a thread in the forums to discuss the changes and people to [forget to] voice their opposition after actually trying the changes in the core, an ASGS poll can be issued, but the results should be tampered to suit the decision of the CC team to implement the changes and the success of the poll should be put down to 'noobs who don't read the forum or know what the poll was about'.

And that's troublesome for administrative reasons :S

Get over yourselves, don't try to win arguments on the internet where the option of a punch in the mouth is unavailable

Idea:
Create two or more cores with possible changes and let people in game choose which one to play. That way it works best because -forum only*- people don't take part at the decision.
e.g. cc15a gauss gun 50% damage aoe cc15b gauss gun removed cc15c gauss gun range +15% cc15d gauss gun in basic tac
Also a good way to significantly increase the # of releases.
*) No insult against forum-only persons in general, only against those who are posting frequently in CC**.

I have a johnson photo in my profile since 2010.
Didn't bother reading it due to the colour.

The Alleg community can't even support two viable cores, let alone adding four experimental ones.lexaal wrote:QUOTE (lexaal @ Apr 28 2011, 08:43 PM) Idea:

The proper solution is to make changes for better reasons than "well, that's what the poll said", especially considering how easy it is to bias the poll in favor of one option or another!
