I am still on the fence.

The disinformation and objectionable tactics of the Yes campaign is beginning to get on my nerves though.

I think that goes for both sides tbh Duck. My advice would be to try your best to understand the basics of each system and ignore the bull@#(! from both sides because most of it is entirely speculative anyway. After all, it's not about which side presents it's argument the best, it's about which system you think is best.

There are some stupid claims made by the Yes campaign (That it will make MP's work harder etc.), and a number of bad desicisons by the campaign (who sent out those postal leaflets). The MPs behaviour on both sides recently has been almost Bizzarre though, although they are clearly playing to their parties.

The bull@#(! about the cost from the no campaign and those emotional manipulative advertisements were frankly awful though (I paraphrase - vote No or this baby will die). And many of the arguments seem to be quite condescending (don't vote AV as it's to complex for peoples poor little brains).

I really wish this had been a civilised campaign but the mudslinging is so thick from both sides that people can't really examine the issues.

As Rav. said it's about which system is best though, and in my personal opinion AV is a small improvement. I still think we will be stuck with the old system though.

Edit:
An interestingly simple laying out of what AV would mean. http://blog.enlighten.me.uk/2011/04/06/one-man-one-vote/

Most of the coverage I've seen from the press is "ooh look it will drive the coalition apart!" and other such side-issues... they really could've done a better job of highlighting the real issues & the choice that we have.
