quick scan and I can't see anything different in the new sounddef.mdl from the old one. For the purposes of keeping stuff fair another solution is to use your old quickchat.mdl but then you won't get the Top Gun sounds.
so simply redownload the Top Gun quickchat.mdl and sounddef.mdl into artwork and you should be fine.
