My plan is unlimited but as others have mentioned the experience is dependent on the carrier for lag. While in Cali Id actually switch to my mobile broadband from my cable connection during peak uasge hours. Also it may be dependent on country and towers but mobile broadband for me is many times faster then a modem connction... I actually used a modem for my connection and was excited to get to 56k
Verizon has been an awesome provider and the amount of bandwidth one uses is really nothing as Peet point out. 4-5 meg per hour of play apparently. The friend will hardly notice the usage difference.

56k is 28.8 using compression. You're better off with 28.8
[15:25] <BBT_> oh, so da vinci's mona lisa isn't his work?
[15:25] <+fuh-zz> No, he simply put effort into it.
[15:25] <BBT_> are you really that retarded?
If someone postal mail your friend the installation files + runtimes, it saves some valuable bandwidth too. BTW, google M labs has a lot of tools to check your connection. Some tests are very annoying and / or technical, so be forewarned.,
Clay_Pigeon wrote:QUOTE (Clay_Pigeon @ Apr 21 2011, 10:13 AM) How much data is sent back and forth when I person is logged into the game? I have a friend who wants to play, but lives in the country and it limited to a Verizon broadband plan with 10 Gigs/Month.
Any tips for people on mobile broadband? (MrC)
I have played over my cell phone and it was like 30 megs in a month....only problem was ASGS boots me about every 20 minutes and i have to shutdown ASGS and restart. But ping and packets were fine, so don't worry, abobut bandwidth.
