I installed a bunch of the hi res stuff, and now i have frame-rate issues. I have an old video card (16MB I think?), so I'm guessing it's just too much.

I would like to back out my hi res stuff. My question is: is there an in-game way to reduce the resolution, or should I uninstall the textures? If uninstall, is it enough to just delete the /textures folder, or is there something else that would need to be taken care of?

Sorry to bother, but I'm just literate enough to ruin my whole install.

Setting your texture resolution to 256 mode (under esc-->game options) "should" ignore the high-res stuff. If not, yeah, deleting everything in the textures folder should fix it.

yea, provided you put all your highres stuff in the /textures folder, if you put it in the artwork folder you would have a harder time.

if you didnt want to re-download everything, you could just rename your textures folder to something else, then change its name back when you get a better video card

My site has all the original files for download, right next to the download of the hi res files. Don't want the hi res asteroids but want to keep everything else? No problem, it's right there. (Note: as of now it contains 78 reticules with more comming too) The only problem right now is the site is not quite done and will not be public till about Feb. of 2007. Doah!

Hosting is not an issue for me, it is writing all the code. I do this in my spare time. Right now the Allegiance section is hosted and tested at mesialonline.com but will be transferred to yodaknows.com once it's complete.

Believe me when I say I do know what you mean. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

The Academy comes to work with me on a thumbnail. I pop open notepad to do updates, etc when I have a few moments.

Don't you hate it when you get stumped on something small, it's like a stop sign on the interstate. I've added CSS to a simple HTML button, and cannot figure out how to incorporate a "target=new" command to it. I hate it when it's so small and stupid like that and it hangs me up for days.
