I tried the beta. Felt like there was too much grind going on.

There is, but when you enjoy driving a tank, there is no grind!

I play tanks which I've fully unlocked already

Yeah this was my first beta testing a game....

And when I heard that I will lose my IS-3, M3E8, Jagdpather and Su18 I was pisssed, and stopped testing

Beta testing is just that. You help find and fix bugs and balance issues just by playing. All progress is reset for release as it didn't count.
