While on the subject of models and scale, I wish there was something sane one could do about the rix fighter. It's ridiculously flat and even worse on new players since one has to know that the little knob under it's belly stretches the hitbox in that direction.

Sadly I can't really think of a fix

With all the original rix art having such character I honestly can't think of any way to fix it. Maybe it's lucky that rix sup isn't popular

The Dreg int is definitely too much of a wedge boosting about at dreg speeds side on - the model has lost a lot of volume - and scaling it up to the right volume would make it too easy in a pitched battle 1v1. As a fix, the hitbox could be expanded about the nose of the ship by about 20% the total height of the model, above and below the nose. I agree that bubble hitboxes dont have to be the only way. Personally, I think the old models and hitboxes WORKED - I have all my graphics turned down anyway :P .

Some compromise with the most full-of-empty-space models is probably the way to go, as we can't even in theory go through all the models.

Dreg is strong anyway, so the ints can be made more hittable in cc_12. They are great operationally with that speed, so they don't have to be super in dogfights. Just have to be careful not to make them too crappy.

How awful is your graphics card? The new models look pretty bad on low texture sizes.

On average, since we got the new models the playerbase has increased 37%, mostly from ex commodore Amiga/64 fans but also those on Nintendo, Atari 7800 consoles and Gameboy. If we can change rix fighters to be really thick and and to crap out diamonds, we can only get more newbies to join up from rival games and gaming systems.

Thanks for the response raingriffin

I didn't realize somebody else did dreg models, quiz? My mistake.

Well if nobody objects I would like to do a trial run of dreg and tf with ms auto cvh and maybe some tweaking of guns. Nothing else will be touched if I can help it.
