20 Things Worth Knowing About Beer.....I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they get up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.
Okay ... I have a go to try this.
The cost per GB would run roughly 40 bucks a month if the throughput rates are what I have seen. We are going to give it a try.
I need a mentor on how to set this up....... If you see TE or PKK or Mr Choas ask them post what ever they can to get me running. I will pm them.

Just so you know the last time I tried it I got both the lobby and AllSrv to run on Linux, which is a cheaper and better server platform.
EDIT:
I do not know how stable it would be. I would assume very stable, but I never did any long-term tests.

Actually bitch, James Cameron had the plans laid out for Avatar shortly after he made titanic. Which was long before The Core. You make The Core sound like it's some movie that old jackasses talk about seeing "When I was your age.".SP4WN wrote:QUOTE (SP4WN @ Jan 14 2011, 12:20 PM) Dumbass, Unobtanium was featured in "The Core" long before "Avatar" was even a twinkle in someones eye. Some guy changes the structure of some elements and @#(! and come up with an element that gets stronger the more pressure and heat is put on it, funnily enough the exact thing we would need to get to the core at the exact right time.
Made in 2003 ya friggin' poor excuse of a horses posterior.
James Cameron choose to wait until technology could truly render his vision.
So, we get Unobtanium from Pandora, and then guy from The Core originally created an epic spaceship that he uses to secretly discover Pandora and get's the Unobtanium there and brings it back to earth just in time to make an underground spaceship and save us and @#(!.
Prequelfied.

It was originally humorous banter about server placements.Broodwich wrote:QUOTE (Broodwich @ Jan 27 2011, 03:43 AM) while watching heyoka pwn spawn is certainly amusing, i still dont see how you remembered these details, much less care to debate about them, from two absolutely retarded movies

I don't know much about servers and stuff, but I must be someone getting the highest ping in the game. My ping on planet varies from 400-600 usually and averages around 500 most of the time. Maybe due to my connection speed I don't experience lag all the time as I would have thought, but when it does it sure makes me sick. So isn't there any way a server could be hosted near to this place. So as to help both asians and aussies alike?
Meh unobtanium is an old tropeHeyoka wrote:QUOTE (Heyoka @ Jan 27 2011, 07:11 AM) Actually bitch, James Cameron had the plans laid out for Avatar shortly after he made titanic. QUOTE - Since at least the 1950s: Hansen, James R. (1987) "Engineer in Charge: A History of the Langley Aeronautical Laboratory, 1917–1958." The NASA History Series, sp-4305. Chapter 12, recounting an October 1957 meeting, mentions the problems caused by "the lack of a superior high-temperature material (which the Langley structures people dubbed 'unobtainium')" This paragraph in turn cites Becker, John V. "The Development of Winged Reentry Vehicles, 1952–1963,"[/quote]
Assaninsat - we tried a Aussie server a while ago, I'm not quite sure what happened to it.
The problem is getting a critical mass of people to play on the server to have enough fun games. Would love it if the community was big enough to have an aussie/asian main game some time/
the aussie server was never used because the 4 people who actually play the game in australia were never on at the same time, much less able to convince the rest of the world to play with 200+ ping
edit: so then they took it down

It actually was used for some rare games on weekends but also aussie primetime but the numbers weren't big enough as there were not enough aus/nz/asian players around.. at most around 10-12. It was still much fun though. When the server got taken down they slowly all stopped playing and now hardly any of them are left. The server was borked as well as it missed a ranks file and was behind some weird linux setup that caused issues. The guy that ran it was from 3FL and he often complained that he never got much support from here on how to set it up properly.
I recall some 10v11 game but the euro/usa crowd didn't like about the 200+ ping (as brood says) and stopped coming and it was never given a chance for more players from the region to play on it. The population numbers wont ever make a case for a 10+ yr old game.
so assassinsat - yep many have felt same as you and just don't play anymore. Basically this is a euro/american game and there's many other games out there. Basically no one plays at the time I am posting this anymore. Better things to do.
