Hey everyone.
I'm Fej. Saw the Escapist article. Looks fun! Joined the AFS. Hope that goes through pretty quickly.
About the tutorial - got a question. Mission 4, the intermediate combat one. When I have to defend the constructor, I eventually manage to get the enemy scout's shields down, but then it runs away. If I follow it through the aleph I get killed by machine guns (which apparently I'm not allowed to have). If I stay then nothing happens. Is that the end of the tutorial? Thanks.

But welcome guys. It takes dedication to "get" this game, but it's absolutely worth it. It's the best game on the whole net, and even our asshats are of higher quality than those in other games

Thought I will do some PR now. I´m 26 yo living in the "heart" of eruope.
I´m definitive addicted to spacesimulationgames, but only the fun way.
Yeah, and I got booted already my first time , for my part I think door had sure a stressful day of work.
Anyway I´m upset with his decision which surely is a violation of the "Rules of conduct" and a much bigger violation
to my sparetime...
Yet I will be a real pain in his a** by not flying for him anymore :-)

if someone boots you (which they shouldn't if you have a number) it might be because you were messing with his cons/miners, or doing something to jeopordize the team without realizing it. However, if you believe you weren't doing anything wrong + the commander gave you no warning of what you were doing, then send the logs to BlackViper, and he will deal with the matter from there. But you should know that if you do get booted, you can still rejoin under a "hider nick" or another callsign, as all players are allowed up to 3.

Despite being - sort of - able to make my ship float around at what is more or less my will, I must say, so far I have no clue whatsoever of what the hell is going on in the game. This morning my team won, while I was actually convinced we were losing, so... well, evidently there is a reason why someone created the AFS

Welcome. Signing up for ASF is a good first step. See you in-game. If you need a few pointers, feel free to ask me when I'm on. Others are willing to do that, too, so don't be shy.
(We usually create a new game for these things so we're not interfering with the main game and we can focus on the lesson.)
