TF's accel has not been an issue until more recently, and I beseech whomever has the access/necessary skills to fix the netcode or whatever it is needing fixed.
Nerfing TF accel is treating a symptom, not the problem; The servers should not lag like they do.

PPs should *pulse*

TF mass ramps that already high 1.15 accel to insane levels. The math isn't difficult (check your physics book).

1.15 / 0.8 = 1.4375

The effect of accel GAs on that is left as an exercise for the reader.

Shees...

I voted no to the poll as I found the counter-arguments in the appropriate thread more appealing than the pro-arguments - and because it's pretty ridiculous that there was a poll about tt's anyway when the int/pp issue is a far bigger/more important one.

Your post is stupid unless tf mass or accel have been changed recently.

Not all of us have such low ping that going TF Exp isn't a case of continual lagjumping.

TF ships (except new ones like corvette) have all only 80% mass compared to their counterparts on other factions.

Std AdvFighter has a mass of 36, TF AdvFighter has 28.8: 28.8/36 = 80%
Std Int has a mass of 20, TF Int has 16: 16/20 = 80%
Std HvyScout has a mass of 40, TF HvyScout has 32: 32/40 = 80%
Std Bomber has a mass of 50, TF Bomber has 40: 40/50 = 80%
Frigate has a mass of 2500, TF Flagship 1 has 2000: 2000/2500 = 80%

Everything else is physic...

Thrust to weight ratio of Interceptors:

Acceleration GA * Trust / Mass = Thrust to weight ratio

Code: Select all

TF:      1.15 * 300 / 16 = 21.5625 (143.75%)
Dreg:    1    * 300 / 20 = 15      (100%)
Giga:    0.9  * 300 / 20 = 13.5    (90%)
Belters: 1    * 340 / 34 = 10      (66.67%)

I think Masta's point is that TF accel/mass has been that way for a very long time, and absolutely nobody considered it a problem until R5 came around with its buggy netcode and made lagjumping more of a problem in general. I remember a time when I didn't have to worry about bombers lagjumping out of my bullet stream (granted, that's probably got a lot more to do with the cheap pieceofcrap router I'm stuck on now).

Accel ga was also fixed, not sure if fixing this effected faction attributes or not but it used to be a tf int with accel2 would boost at about the same speed as a snail.
