Should the tutorials work like this and is a joystick a nesessity?

So I go to do the first tutorial and it's just flying by in about 30 seconds befor eI can even read anything.... is this supposed to happen? Also I've notice in the second one it talk about a joy stick. Do I need one to play this game?

Nope you don't need a joystick.

Yo can engage mouse control (aka virtual joystick) by clicking on 0 in your numpad.

What I mean by my first question is the first tutoral mission there's text at the beginning and stuff, but it just flashes by before I can read it. The entire mission is done within 20seconds.

In regard to the first question, I think he's talking about that glitch where the whole screen turns black.

I had that happen a few times, and I believe a few others complained of it.

Have you installed the net framework? Restarted the computer?

Odd behavior. It sounds like that particular mission got messed up for you when it installed. I can't say I have seen that issue before. You can try re-installing, or you can forgo the mission. It's really just an introduction to the hangar and points out that there is some help available through the F1 screen. You're not missing much - and what you do miss can be discovered by yourself by clicking around the screen for 60 seconds.
