As I have posted about a bazillion times...
Figs = good all around
Ints = best ship to ship
SFs = best drone killers
Why is this so $#@!ing amazing to discover?
Yes, figs are good at killing drones. If you have an SF at the same level of tech, you can solo a miner in about 10s (with nans) and then be uneyed again. The biggest strengths of the SF over the fig are: stealth (obvs) - the element of surprise. D doesn't have time to form. With a fig it is 100% obvious to all parties involved which miner you are going for. With an SF you know once the hunters drop the shields....and Damage per Sec - the SF can empty a rack of lrms, drive by with util2 to finish it off in the time that the fig gets within range.

Once in range, a fighter doesn't take much longer to kill a miner than a stealth fighter. The issue is that an experienced comm can see a fighter rush coming, and can reasonably mine distant sectors with only minimal d. The comm can also hide the miner in-sector much easier against short-scan-range fighters than with longer scan range sfs.

The problem you have...... is some of us know you too well...... If your in game...... your sneaking up on the miners ... 24 /7 and eyeing them for your ints....
