Is that necessarily a bad thing? Allegiance will never really be "done" (until it dies!), and like most things in the world it will always be under a constant process of revision and change. Right now, we want a slightly perked tac. Some day later we will want a nerfed tac. So what? Perhaps these iterations of perks and nerfs will let us slowly zero in on a better game balance. Or perhaps not; who knows. But aside from the fact that it creates work for core developers, I don't see how changing things around a bit (especially if we're talking about small changes) is automatically bad just because the changes may not last. If right now this is what's needed to make gameplay better, why not do it, just because someday in the future an opposite change may be desired?

(The above is assuming that a perk to tac is actually generally desired. I mean, I'm just saying if it is desired right now, the fact that someday in the future a nerf might be desired doesn't automatically make perking it now a bad idea).

Take a look at plus15b7

They got Mini shields with 10 second recharge, and about 60 capacity. Mini shield3 has 100 capacity.
It becomes available for all small shielded ships once tac is up.

It might be an interesting addition to tac.

Is this like a serious thread now?

If it is, what's wrong with the idea of making them turn more like a combat ship? They'll still be flimsy and with crappy acceleration (which means you can't dodge anything with sidethrusting), but at least you could turn your nose towards the enemy and fire back.

The only really annoying thing about stealth figs is the nerfed-to-hell agility (and the needless leads of course, does anybody remember if we had those in the MS days? I kind of think not, but I mostly thought SFs were for wimps back in the day).

I don't see a problem with them having lead indicators, it's really too hard to aim at the distances they're intended for otherwise. Even with the lead, you still gotta compensate for change of direction and accel/decel of a target.
Firing these from 1K, you gotta zoom in to even see if they're hitting or not.

Shooting at 1k range is SUPPOSED to be effing hard! Bloody hell.

I seem to recall the reason they turn like @#(!e is so the long range EW weapons wouldn't be too OP. This is exactly the wrong approach and cuts down on the fun of flying them. SFs are supposed to primarily hit miners and cons anyway, and nobody should need a lead indicator to land hits on those.

I never did much understand the concept that a stealth fighter handled poorly.

That being said, people like Shiz would quickly show that such a ship would be brutally overpowered.

Just because it can turn properly? Remember, he can't really dodge anything with the bad accel. Admittedly Shiz will be nailing people at long range with snipers even without a lead indicator, but that's fine. Skill should be rewarded!

I swear I've never seen you in a stealth fig... and not because you're so ninja with sig management.

And it's not a bloody nerf! They will be better if people go with my suggestion.

I always thought of the SFs like space submarines - long range missiles/torpedoes, decent speed, but cant really maneuver for @#(!. Hit and run and don't get detected. If you are in a position that you need to quickly whip around and/or dodge you are already $#@!ed.
