Um, you forgot Xynth?
IIRC development is ongoing but they are tidying up the code behind the scenes. I mean, we aren't hearing a lot, but "posts a lot in the forums" isn't necessarily the best definition for "active" in a developer. There isn't much left to post about anyway, I guess. It was decided some time ago no additional features aside the ones already in R6 will be added, so it's just a matter of fixing bugs and then someday voting on which ones will actually make it into the game.
I do wish Imago hadn't gone evil, though.

jbansk wrote:QUOTE (jbansk @ Oct 19 2010, 02:43 PM) Can we get a list of who is actively working on development and find where development stands at this point? Bard appears to be the sole "developer" and he is anything but active.
Can we establish what "the common goal" is? TB? You sound as though you're up to date, care to define that statement?
OK, OK, Sorry for being sarcastic....we all know the answer to both those questions. Just proving my point using simple observation. The community is dwindling at such a pace that the size of the community itself is warding off players. The game is in such disarray that it cannot be marketted or even recommended. Back to my original statement.... Allegiance is Dead. Take another look, and this time, use both eyes.
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

Xynth and Bard are both inactive. Development is not ongoing, it has completely halted for months now. There is nothing going on behind the scenes, bard can't even get beta working as it is, much less develop it further. The examining the code excuse, is just that, an excuse to allow development to sit dormant. There are still many problems with the current BETA and it's not as simple as you put it. The amount of work left to be done is too great and thus; will prevent it from being released before the last player leaves the server.
Off note: Imago is not "evil". He's a coder to the core. I believe that Imago and Kage love this game more than anyone.
[15:25] <BBT_> oh, so da vinci's mona lisa isn't his work?
[15:25] <+fuh-zz> No, he simply put effort into it.
[15:25] <BBT_> are you really that retarded?

You are correct in that I am not actively working on coding. I made several contributions and hope they will soon be evaluated by the community for a future release. I have left the technical review to Bard but would be willing to assist with any issues with my code when requested.
I did not mean to imply that you are responsible for the current situation. I hope that it didn't come off that way. I wanted to make clear where things are at this point in time.

But love, by itself, really isn't enough. You also have to play well with others, put your ego in check, and not throw a tantrum every time you don't get your way.

So what are you going to do about it? (posting this thread doesn't count)
