One generation grew up and needs to tend children, wives, work, etc.
The next and following generations are currently busy with idiot time sinks like WoW or generally with games that require 0 brains and a power plant to run.

PKK is correct in observing that an Alleg's install just has too many moving parts, and while some installers bundle all of those pre-reqs together into one exe, we make the users DIY. Given that Allegiance's difficulty curve for playing is already high enough, having a high diff curve for installing is just killer.
R5 has SCREWED UP my game play. I have no peripheral vision. I have to spin 360 degrees to see any ships on the side of my screen. I also have lost the ability to fly with the mouse, virtual joystick no longer works. I can no longer just click a sector to transfer to another base.I have to use F2 then click on one of the screens to change bases.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
