I keep getting an exception access violation error, even with a new install of alleg. I can play on normal alleg fine.

I can't get Imago's link above to work. I've only tried going to the beta as described above by Bard

I think we need a vote to see how many have gotten it to work. I haven't.

If it doesn't work for you, you need to start getting pretty vocal. We are not that far from release so everyone should make sure they can at least basically play in R6.

Granted, if you can't get it to work with ASGS, there are a thousand stupid reasons for that. But if the installer isn't working for you, there is a problem that needs to come to our attention.

Well, i have to play in windowed mode in regular Alleg. When I launch R6, it goes to full screen, then it looks like it tries to go down to windowed mode, then it craps out. It may be that under ASGS it will be able to launch and stay in windowed mode.

You can also add a -windowed switch at the end of your allegiance.exe shortcut to start in windowed mode on beta.

No dice:

"Autoupdate failure, try again later. As a last resort you may want to try reinstalling."

Update attempt at: 8/4/10 at 20:32:09 (local time)
After decompression, file C:\AllegR6\AutoUpdate\FileList.txt_ wasn't the size expected. Perhaps FileList.txt in Lobby server's folder is different than one at FTP Site -OR- Newer file(s) have been added to FTP Site without updating FileList.txt.

Running Allegiance.exe in beta folder gives same error as Southpaw, running it via ASGS gives me an error saying the AGCCore.dll is invalid would you like to download a new one, to which if I say yes it downloads a new one yet trying again yields the same error message.

Should the Beta Server Lobby try and populate a fileslist.txt because it isnt at the moment. because it is populating a filelist.txt in the folder AutoUpdate which is gibberish with some file names mixed in with it.

Fixed it - Beta server issue -- I got access to the other one now so I will try to move things around a bit to prevent this from happening in the future.
anyways, PLEASE RETRY

These bugs haven't been fixed yet because don't have any developers interested in fixing them up. --Tigereye
