I did a search on a few terms, but I apologize if this is already in here.
Whenever I'm logged in to the forum with Firefox and try to access the Wiki, I get:
Database error
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
(SQL query hidden)
from within function "User_Orig::addToDatabase". MySQL returned error "1062: Duplicate entry 'Ill Byte' for key 2 (localhost)".
---
I got it on my old computer, and just switched to a new, but I'm still getting it.
Sometimes pressing F5 will clear it up, often not. If I'm not logged in, or if I use a second browser (IE) which doesn't have the forum login, it works fine.
Accessing Wiki when logged into forum
Usually this error needs some admin tweaking. Something gets borked in the privileges file, I think. Dunno for sure since I've never fixed it myself, or seen an explanation of the error. At any rate, now that it's here, I can raise it up to TE or TB who can look into it.
and thanks to !j for the flipping service! Do you want fries with that?

No, this is a different bug from the one you are thinking about. Unforunately, this bug may or may not have a good solution. The problem is with the wiki software and it's poor management of the "_" character. I had all sorts of issues with my old account "_SRM_TheBored".
Give me a bit to look into this. For the time being, try and get to the wiki while you aren't logged in. Either clear the cookies that are specific to the wiki, or visit the wiki while in private browsing mode (Ctrl + Shift + P for firefox, IIRC).
Let us know if the temp solution works for now. I'll get back to you when I can recreate the problem on my side.

No problem... I figured it would get correct action over here rather than in the dev forum.
Although the work-around is resolved, I'll leave this topic open in case TB finds a long-term solution.

The problem is likely that you have two very similar accounts. The Wiki software is 'meh' quality at best, so it is likely getting 'Ill Byte' and 'Ill_Byte' mixed up. If you are okay with me deleting your original account (created 23-MAR-2010), then the problem might be solved.
Just a heads up, you might have gotten an email sent from our system while I was looking into your accounts. I think email notification was on, so it might have spammed you a bit. Just ignore anything that was sent.
Would you like me to delete your original, or leave it as is?
