first i want to say: <i searched all over your wiki, and the help forum but i couldn't find anything that explains this error>

I got everything installed and etc... .

Then when i click on login the following happens:
--------------------------------------------------------------
1)he does the normal checks for connection and stuff.
2)Then the game launches and i get a black screen.
3)Then the black screen dissapears and i see the login screen again saying this in the log:

<• Checking for system updates
• Checking for existing processes
• Saving Settings
• Saving MRU Callsigns
• Checking connectivity
• Using Port: DirectPlay
• Checking ASGS Client Version
• Client Version: 212

• Launching Allegiance

• Allegiance exited with code: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Nope, that won't help with a broken media file.
The safest way is to re-download the installer and reinstall from this.

If you do want to go the hard way, you'd need to use some sort of a file monitor program and determine which file exactly is causing the problem, then replace it with a copy, that someone here provides.

I just received this very same problem a few moments ago. The game has been working the past week. I tried uninstalling and re-installing and nothing changed.

evildiehard, please create your own thread... and don't forget to fill out the template. While your problem may seem similar, often times the root cause is a little different. That's why we prefer to create many individualized threads - it helps us help you by keeping focused on your particular issues. Yes, that's a little different than you find on other boards, but here we find that it works.

I was on a machine and install that does the same thing - I was able to narrow it down to FullScreen Mode - ASGS seems to have a hissy fit and shutdown alleg. when it starts up w/o "Windowed" checked in he ASGS options all is fine, if you like playing in windowed mode...

WHERE IN THE $#@! IS THE ASGS REPLACMENT
