They're scouts and thus easy to hit and kill, and they feed your KB and let you flex muscles at the end of the match going "GRAH I PODDED FIFTY FIVE PEOPLE IN THIRTY SECONDS! FEAR MY INTERCEPTOR!"
I shoot nans for exactly this reason.

Dont forget kids you can reverse nan too! Holding Cntl while firing does reverse healing i.e. damage. So when being shot turn wield and fire on your attacker... holding down the "Control" key of course.

and at this point I'd consider writing an instructional guide but I know I'd just be wasting my time
so instead I'll just keep my brilliant tactics to myself and you can all fly in circles in PuGs
and then watch helplessly as we wreck everyone in squad games
Spiking depends mainly on the ratio between nans and defenders and the sync of the defenders. Thanks for unveiling your supersecret tactics mastametz.

The thing is in most cases when you can spike with mk I tech there are so few nans that you can just wipe them out before the bomber is any danger to the base (see, in range).

Nah, if you shoot you mini1 long enough on the bbr the nan will run out of energy, thats how ints spike a bombrun!
As to be seen ingame an hour ago, it doesn't work. But keep shooting the bomber! Someday it might work!
Still ready to teach anyone who asks nicely whatever they want to know about playing alleg. Contrary to popular opinion I do not eat newbies. Voobs taste much better.
